Anticipations...

Dear Willow,

Before you were born, there were a lot of things that I anticipated and you have more than met those anticipations. I anticipated the moment that I would hold you in my arms, being able to nurse you, kissing the soft hair on top of your head, looking into your gorgeous eyes, and running my fingers over your silky skin.

There are things I didn't anticipate though; things I could never have anticipated. I never anticipated the way that my heart would freeze in my chest when you smile at me, how your tiny hand would hold mine and make the world a better place, how you would make me want to change the world to make it a better place for you, and how you have take over every corner of our very existence and made us all better people.

Everything that I do is done with the thought of how it will impact you. I want you to be happy, healthy, and safe!

We went to the State Fair today - it wasn't your first fair, it was your second, but it still won't be the one you remember. That will be next year. We had a lot of fun today though and I was so happy to have you there with us today. We ate a lot of delicious food and your absolute favorite part was the goats! You jumped up and down with joy whenever the goat turned to stick their little nose out between the bars at you. I laughed at your joy and it was wonderful! I cannot wait for more moments like these with you!

I love you baby girl!

Love always,
Momma
